BINUS Civil on Duty (COD) International Seminar, 10 Sept 24

Thanks to BINUS Civil Engineering Students Union and The Institute of Civil Engineers UK, BINUS Chapter for the invitation on “The Civil on Duty, International Seminar”

I was glad to deliver engineering contemporary issues with topic “Enhancing Indonesia’s Infrastructure Sustainability, Strategy to Reduce Embodied Carbon in Indonesia Construction Industry”.

Thanks to Mbak Putri Arumsari for being a moderator, Dr Riza Suwondo as Steering Committee and Dr Oki Setyandito as our host.

Embodied carbon—also known as embodied greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions—refers to the amount of GHG emissions associated with upstream—extraction, production, transport, and manufacturing or construction—stages of a product’s life. Sementara Operational carbon refers to ‘the emissions associated with energy used to operate the building or in the operation of infrastructure’, including heating, hot water, cooling, ventilation, lighting systems, equipment and lifts.
