His thesis on knowledge sharing among employees at a major mining company reflected his strong academic performance. He continued his studies in Engineering Management at the University of Kansas, United States, in 2012 and 2013 where he gained expertise in project execution, EPC, sales and marketing, finance, and construction management. In 2011 he also completed an Advanced Project Management and Earned Value Management program at Marcus Evans that enhanced his skills in planning, cost control, scheduling, and performance measurement Ca: Habibie began his career at PT Vale Indonesia in 2004, advancing from Civil Engineer to Acting Project Manager on major projects including the Karebbe Hydroelectric Power Plant and a multi-million dollar fuel conversion initiative. He later held senior roles at PT Stargate Pacific Resources and PT Energi Sengkang, managing mining infrastructure, offshore facilities, and power plant development. From 2011 to 2012, he was Manager of Engineering Services at Slipform Engineering, followed by four years at Black & Veatch overseeing international LNG, LPG, coal to gas, fertiliser, and renewable energy projects. He then served at Tractebel as Senior Project Manager and LNG and Gas Product Director, and at Alfanar Energy as Country Business Development. Beyond the technical challenges of managing large scale international projects, Habibie built friendships with colleagues from diverse cultural and national backgrounds. These cross-cultural interactions enriched his worldview, taught him the value of collaboration across borders, and created bonds that remain long after the projects were completed. He serves as a Permanent Lecturer in the Engineers’ Profession Program at the PLN Institute of Technology (ITPLN), a university founded by Indonesia’s state-owned electricity company, PT PLN (Persero). In addition, he is frequently invited as a guest lecturer at universities across Indonesia and as a speaker at both national and international seminars.
